Ben Affleck is Batman in the sequel Man of Steel

Warner Bros finally have completed their quest to find the latest Batman figure after announcing that Ben Affleck will play Bruce Wayne and his alter-ego in the sequel Man of Steel. The announcement was made by two senior WB, Greg Silverman as President, Creative Development and Production, and Sue Kroll Worldwide as President, Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution.

Ben Affleck

"We knew that we needed a great actor to play one of the most popular superheroes in the DC Comics, and Ben Affleck is an appropriate figure. Terrific career is testament to his talent, and we know that he and Zack will present a new dimension to the character, "said Silverman.

"We are very pleased that Ben continues the legacy of Warner Bros Incredible with Batman," said Kroll. "He is a very talented actor who will make this role her own."

As already disclosed in the last month, a continuation of the Man of Steel Zack Snyder's direction will bring Superman and Batman, and since it's all those curious about the figure which would be the opposite of actor Henry Cavill as Clark Kent. Now with Affleck, Snyder has the opportunity to create a new version of Batman.

"Ben is an interesting balance of Superman, starring Superman," said Snyder. "He has the ability to create a picture of a figure that is older and wiser than Clark Kent as well as having experience as an upholder of justice, but it still has the charm of a multi-millionaire named Bruce Wayne. I cannot wait to work with him."

In continuation written by David S. Goyer and director Zack Snyder's, Ben Affleck will join Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, and Diane Lane. Look forward to seeing them all on July 17, 2015.
